Chief of Staff, U.S. House of Representatives Single Since we last saw one another, I'm working as a Chief of Staff to a Member of Congress from Texas. Also spent a couple of years writing my own daily news column covering Congress for a conservative news outlet.

I have served in differing capacities on Capitol Hill over the years from communications director and senior speechwriter for a U.S. Congressman to being media and coalitions advisor to the U.S. Senate Republican Conference.

Before all of that I was in Hollywood for nearly two decades, my work in the entertainment industry culminating at Paramount Pictures in network television. I moved into politics to run communications for a Republican Presidential candidate in the 2000 primary cycle when I had a moment of clarity pondering the detrimental effect Hollywood has on America's culture.

Served eight years in psychological warfare with the U.S. Army Reserve as a PSYOP Specialist because physical wounds heal.
I am a Christian, conservative American patriot. No quarter.

November 12, 1959 Retired Bookkeeper Married 3 Fritz L Spencer III (1974) 9 Fritz and I just celebrated our 36th anniversary and have been in Huntsville, TX almost 20 years now. Fritz still works in Houston and is getting closer to retirement. I retired 3 years ago when Dad’s Alzheimer’s progressed and we had to close his metal building company. Three years ago we also bought a ranch in Crockett, TX and spend most of our weekends there. The kids all live within 1 hr to 1 1/2hrs away so we see them at the ranch often. Our family has grown in the last couple years. We now have 9 grand-children with the oldest almost 9 and the youngest 4mths. I am on the road a lot to BR to see mom and dad and help where I can. We have travelled some and get back to Baton Rouge as much as possible to visit family and friends. I am still blessed to have both of my parents still living in our house on Marilyn Drive. They are a very important part of their great- grandchildren's lives as well as watching their grandchildren grow up. I hope Fritz and I live long enough to do the same with our great grand kids. Gail and I are still best friends. We see each other as much as we can being states away from each other. I am looking forward to the reunion to see everyone. Facebook has been great to keep up with alot of you. Thank you so much Reunion Committee for all your hard work in putting this together again. The Class of '77 is a great group.

Bookkeeper Married 2 Bert Wow, the last 10 years have been interesting for me. A few years after our 20th reunion, I was involved in an automobile accident that totalled my vehicle and landed me in the hospital with crushed bones in my right foot. There were many operations to put hardware in and take hardware out! All of this has totally changed my daily life. Hence, the "now" picture of big fat me.

Also during that time, my mom got very ill and was on life support for several months. We finally made the grave decision to "unplug" her, when one day when I went to visit, she opened her eyes and decided she wanted to live! Since that time, she's gotten remarried after being a widow for 15 years. Mom's also a two time survivor of lung cancer and then cancer in her chest. So, I must say, she has kept me on my toes! I think she's the reason for my gray hair and not my boys.

And on to the boys... Well, I'm still married to Bert - 23 years. He has provided well for our family and that has allowed me to continue working part-time as a bookkeeper for two companies, an alarm monitoring central station and also a call center.

Jacob (20) is currently attending LSU and majoring in Mechanical Engineering like his dad. Justin (17) is a Junior at Catholic High School and doing very well.

A few years ago, I finally got my daughter. A yellow lab name Gracie. She is truly my companion.

I am really looking forward to this reunion. As we all age, it becomes apparent not to take life for granted. It's been a hard 30 years, but I guess that's the way it is supposed to be. And if it weren't for good friends like Julie (Robertson) Benton, Jeanne (Fields) Tribou and Pooky (Graves) Johnston, I think my journey would have been more difficult.
It has been so wonderful to hear from some very old friends because of this website. I really want you all to send a big thanks to Leslie (Wedge) and Robert Kuyrkendall for all of their hard work in making this all a reality. I've had the opportunity to work with them on this reunion and I must say that the two of them have gone way beyond the call of duty! Kudos to the Kuyrkendalls!!
